How to Measure

Helly Hansen measuring points — Typical measuring points for Helly Hansen workwear.

Body height: Stand upright against a wall and measure from the top of your head to the floor.

Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal and under your arms.

Waist (at belly-button height): Measure around your natural waist at navel level, where your body bends side to side.

Waistband: Measure where your trouser waistband normally sits.

Hip: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.

Inseam: Measure from the crotch straight down the inside of the leg to the floor (or to where you want the hem to end).

All size tables below are based on body measurements in centimeters (cm), not garment dimensions.

Tip: Measure over light clothing. If you are between two sizes, Helly Hansen recommends choosing the larger size for extra comfort and freedom of movement.

Certification

EN 343:2019 (Protection Against Rain): Certified waterproof and breathable with a top rating of 4 for water penetration resistance, 1 for breathability, and "X" for resistance to water vapor (not tested or not applicable).
EN 342:2017 (Protection Against Cold): Achieved Icler ratings of 0.374 to 0.409 m²K/W (B) in combination with compatible jackets and Class 3 for breathability, meaning it is highly effective at retaining body heat in cold conditions while allowing moisture to escape.

EN 343:2019:
1. Water Penetration Resistance (4): Maximum protection against rain under pressure.
2. Breathability (1): Allows some moisture vapor from sweat to escape, rated on a scale from 1 (lowest) to 4 (highest).
3. Resistance to Water Vapor (X): Test not performed or not applicable for this garment.

EN 342:2017:
1. Thermal Insulation (Icler 0.374–0.409 m²K/W): Shows excellent insulation for cold-protection clothing.
2. Breathability (Class 3): High breathability rating for better comfort during active wear.
3. WP (Water Penetration): Ensures the garment remains waterproof even in wet, cold environments.
