How to Measure

Helly Hansen measuring points — Typical measuring points for Helly Hansen workwear.

Body height: Stand upright against a wall and measure from the top of your head to the floor.

Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal and under your arms.

Waist (at belly-button height): Measure around your natural waist at navel level, where your body bends side to side.

Waistband: Measure where your trouser waistband normally sits.

Hip: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.

Inseam: Measure from the crotch straight down the inside of the leg to the floor (or to where you want the hem to end).

All size tables below are based on body measurements in centimeters (cm), not garment dimensions.

Tip: Measure over light clothing. If you are between two sizes, Helly Hansen recommends choosing the larger size for extra comfort and freedom of movement.

This standard ensures the jacket provides protection against precipitation, fog, and ground humidity.

Water Penetration Resistance (3): Class 3 is the highest level, meaning superior resistance to water penetration.
Water Vapor Resistance (1): Class 1 provides standard breathability; moisture management is ensured but not at the highest level.
Seam Strength (X): Not tested for seam strength under this standard.

EN 342:2017 — Protection Against Cold
This standard certifies the jacket protects against cold environments, evaluated in combination with matching pants (sold separately).

Thermal Insulation (Icler 0.323 m²K/W): Indicates how well the jacket resists heat loss, with a higher value representing better insulation.
Air Permeability (3): Class 3 is the best rating, offering excellent wind resistance.
Water Penetration Resistance (WP): Additional water protection is confirmed in tested combinations.

Instructions and Care

Close hook and loop and zippers before washing
Remove hood before washing
Use liquid detergent; do not use fabric softener
Wash inside out, wash dark and similar colours together
Machine wash at 40°C (lukewarm water)
Do not bleach
Tumble dry on low heat; dry inside out
Remove promptly from washer and dryer
Some fading may occur on bright colours
Tumble dry garment to reactivate water repellent treatment
Do not iron; do not dry clean
